TikTok is Planning to Add New ‘Watch History’ Feature

TikTok is reportedly testing to add a new feature, ‘Watch History‘ which lets users allow to find videos that appeared on their ‘For You’ page that they didn’t have a chance to save.

This feature was first noticed by a tipster named Hammod Oh, who shared a screenshot of this feature in the app’s settings, then after Techgeek & Social Media Expert Matt Navarra also retweeted it.

Sometimes, you may also have experienced an accidentally refreshed on For You tab and end up losing the last feed before getting the chance to save or share certain content, but now TikTok is coming up with a solution.

TikTok’s New Feature Will Save Video’s History for 7 Days

According to Hammod Oh’s Twitter post, TikTok is experimenting with a new feature to keep track of the short videos that you have watched recently. TikTok users’ watch history will be accessible in the “content and activity” section. This feature is very similar to YouTube’s watch history.

Hammod Oh’s other Twitter post provided more details about this feature. We noticed that you could view up to 7 days of watch history with this feature in that post.

Unfortunately, there is no further update about this feature or any official confirmation of when it will occur in the main app. Still, a TikTok spokesperson said, “We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience,” to TechCrunch.

So, we can hope for this feature soon because this feature makes the process of finding lost videos a lot simpler and quicker.
